A billing entity is your billing and invoicing profile on the platform. It holds the credits you use to pay for orders and contains your verified business or payment information.

All orders are paid for using credits held in your billing entity. Without one, you have no balance to draw from, so the system won't allow you to proceed to checkout.

KYC (Know Your Customer) is a verification step to confirm that the billing information you've submitted is accurate and valid. It's a standard compliance requirement before you can deposit funds or place orders.

There's no limit. You can create as many billing entities as you need — for example, one per region, currency, or legal entity.

Multiple billing entities let you keep invoicing clean and separated by project or geography. For example, you can use a European billing entity for European projects and a US billing entity for US projects. Invoices are always correctly attributed and never mixed up.

Once your billing entity is verified through KYC, you can deposit funds directly into it. Those funds become the credits you spend on orders.

Inside your project settings, you can select which billing entity to link. Any orders placed under that project will be billed to the linked entity.

Think of it as a folder inside a folder. A brand represents your main company or franchise — the top-level organisational unit. A project sits inside a brand and represents a specific domain or website you're building links for. One brand can contain multiple projects.

First, create a brand. Then, create a project inside that brand. You can create as many brands and projects as you need.

Yes. A brand can contain any number of projects. This is useful if you manage multiple domains within the same company or client account.

The project budget is a spending tracker — it does not restrict or block order placement. It's purely for your own reference so you can monitor how much you've spent per project. You can reset it at any time, either for an individual project or for all projects within a brand.

Inside a project you can see the average cost per link, the billing entity linked to it, your full link history (including imported links), and all active or completed orders.

Yes. Go to your project, navigate to Link History, and click Import. Follow the step-by-step guide to add your existing links. Once imported, those links appear in your link history the same way as orders placed on MOTHERLINK PRO, and they also show up in the marketplace so you can see which sites you already have links on.

Currently it's a manual process. Automation is planned for a future release.

The marketplace is where you browse and select websites to purchase links from. It's continuously updated with new websites, and all metrics are kept current so you're always working with accurate data.

Each listing shows a range of SEO and quality metrics. You can also open any website's media page for a full breakdown, including whether you already have an active link on that site.

Each listing specifies: Follow / Nofollow — whether the link passes link equity; Sponsored tag — whether a sponsored attribute is applied; Permanent or renewable — whether the link can be made permanent, or defaults to a renewable annual placement.

By default, all links are placed for a minimum of one year. If a different arrangement is needed, this can be requested after the order is placed.

Yes. You can apply any combination of filters and save them for future sessions — so you don't have to re-apply your preferred filters every time you browse. You can also show or hide any column to customise your market view.

Yes. Once you've imported your link history or placed orders through the platform, the marketplace will indicate which sites you already link from. You can then filter to show only sites where you don't have a link yet.

Yes. Every website has its own pricing, and listings are organised into different price categories. Use filters to narrow the market to websites that fit your budget.

Find a website in the marketplace you want to place a link on. Add it to your order, select the project it belongs to, and complete the checkout. Your billing entity must have enough credits to cover the order — if it doesn't, you'll see a prompt to top up before proceeding.

Orders are processed immediately once placed. Pre-funded credits ensure your account manager can pick up and start processing your order right away, minimising turnaround time.

Yes. Every order must be linked to a project. This keeps all your links organised and ensures invoicing is attributed correctly.

You'll see a notification at checkout indicating you need to top up your balance. Add funds to your linked billing entity and then proceed with the order.

Typical turnaround is 1 to 5 business days. The exact time depends on factors such as the website's requirements, content preparation, and editorial review.

Yes. Inside the checkout you can save your order as a draft at any time and come back to it before confirming. This is useful if you've selected your domains but still need to add requirements, get internal approval, or involve a team member.

Access your drafts from the top-right corner of the marketplace. All saved drafts are listed there and remain available until you either place or delete them.

Yes. If your team members are added to your project, you can assign any draft directly to them. Once assigned, they receive a notification and can act on the draft — for example, adding content requirements to domains you've already selected.

It allows you to split the work. For example, you can focus on selecting the right domains while a team member handles adding the content requirements — all within the same draft before the order is submitted.

You have two options. MOTHERLINK creates the content — our in-house team of professional writers produces the article. Writers are matched to your niche, so a SaaS company's link, for example, would be written by someone with experience in SaaS and B2B tech content. Or you provide the content — you can supply your own content at no additional cost.

You can provide images, trust links, notes, and any relevant details about your brand or target page. This information is passed directly to the content writer to ensure the article is accurate and relevant.

At a minimum, provide the target URL and anchor text. If your content is ready, you can also upload the full content file along with the order.

No problem. You can place the order with just the target URL and anchor text, and add the content at a later stage in the process.

You have two places to look: the Orders page shows all the orders you've placed (one order can contain multiple links), and the All Links page shows every individual link item across all your orders, including imported links and past history.

The Orders page is your order-level view — you see each order you've placed. The All Links page is your link-level view — you see every individual link item, regardless of which order it came from. All Links is your personal dashboard for tracking the full status of every link you have.

The Order Item page is the detailed view for a single link placement. It contains a Details tab with basic information about the website, the live link, pricing, and SEO metrics captured at order time; a Content tab with requirements, domain-specific notes, and documents; a Renewals tab with renewal history and options; and a Chat & History tab with your communication thread and a complete changelog of all status, condition, and price changes.

Yes. The Order Item page saves the metrics as they were at the time of ordering. This lets you compare the original metrics against the current state of the website over time.

Yes. Link monitoring is built into the platform and starts automatically once an order item is marked as completed and the link is published.

The monitoring system checks whether the link is still live; whether it is dofollow or nofollow; whether a sponsored tag is applied; whether the target URL and anchor text on the published page match what you specified; and whether the page is indexed by search engines.

Monitoring data is visible both on the All Links page and on the individual Order Item page.

Links are placed for a minimum of one year by default. After that, they can be renewed.

You'll receive a notification when your link is approaching its renewal date, so you're never caught off guard. You can also check the Renewals tab on any Order Item page to see the current renewal status.

Request the renewal directly from the Renewals tab on the Order Item page. Your account manager will confirm it — you don't need to place a new separate order.

Yes, renewals are priced separately. The renewal cost will be shown when you request it.

Once a renewal is confirmed, it becomes a sub-order of the original order. You can see exactly how many times a link has been renewed and the full history of each renewal directly on the Order Item page.

Yes. Every client is assigned a personal account manager automatically upon completing registration.

Initial assignment is automatic. The Head of Account Management then reviews all new clients and adjusts assignments as needed, matching account managers to clients based on niche alignment and relevant experience.

Your account manager receives a notification every time you place an order and starts validating it immediately. They guide the entire process from order placement through to publication, communicate with you through the Order Item chat, and handle any issues or questions along the way.

Each Order Item page has a dedicated Chat & History tab where you and your account manager communicate. Every message is linked to that specific order, so conversations never get mixed up. You'll receive notifications when your account manager requires an action from your side.

Yes. If you opt into Managed Off-Page SEO services, your account manager can select websites on your behalf, help add content requirements, and create a draft order for you. They'll then assign the draft to you so you can review and approve their selection before anything is confirmed.

The platform sends notifications for order status updates, actions required from your side, and link renewal reminders. Notifications can be delivered in-app, by email, or both.

Go to Account Settings to turn individual notification types on or off for both in-app and email channels.

It's strongly recommended to keep at least one notification channel active — either in-app or email. This ensures you're always aware when an action is needed to keep your orders moving forward.

Find the notification email in your spam folder, open it, and mark it as "not spam." This tells your email provider to deliver future messages from us to your inbox.

Managed Off-Page SEO is a service where your account manager takes an active role in your link building — selecting websites, adding content requirements, and building draft orders on your behalf. You retain full control: the account manager prepares the draft and assigns it to you for review before anything is placed.

Your account manager creates a draft order with their recommended website selection and any relevant requirements, then assigns it to you. You receive a notification, review the proposed selection, and decide whether to approve and submit it or request changes. You're never committed to anything until you choose to place the order.

Yes. Publishers and webmasters can submit their media through the dedicated publisher portal at motherlink.io/webmaster-form. Once submitted, your website goes through our review process before being added to the database.

No. MOTHERLINK PRO is built exclusively for clients placing orders. There is no publisher-side account within the platform. All publisher submissions are handled through the publisher portal, separately from MOTHERLINK PRO.
